     The CXSU63034 is a highly efficient fix frequencysynchronous step-up8CP嘉泰姆
DC/DC converter. Output voltage of the device is adjustable. Power8CP嘉泰姆
dissipation during operation is only 40μA typical and drops to less than8CP嘉泰姆
1μA in shutdown. The 0.85V to 5V input voltage range makes the CXSU630348CP嘉泰姆
ideally suitable for single cell Li-ion battery, single or dual AA battery voltage8CP嘉泰姆
step-up applications. Automatic PFM Mode operation increases efficiency at8CP嘉泰姆
light loads, further extend battery life. Switching frequency is internally set at 1.2MHz, design for use of small value surface mount inductor, input and8CP嘉泰姆
output capacitors. The internal synchronous switchesenhance efficiency.8CP嘉泰姆
Anti-ringing control circuitry reduces EMI by damping the inductance effect8CP嘉泰姆

1)General Description8CP嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is a synchronous step-up DC-DC converter.8CP嘉泰姆
It utilizes internal MOSFET switches to achieve high8CP嘉泰姆
efficiency over full load current range. It operates at a8CP嘉泰姆
fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz, and uses the8CP嘉泰姆
slope compensated peak current mode pulse width8CP嘉泰姆
modulation (PWM) architecture. The device can8CP嘉泰姆
operate with an input voltage below 1V and the8CP嘉泰姆
minimum start-up voltage is 0.85V.8CP嘉泰姆
2) Current Mode Operation 8CP嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is based on a slope compensated peak8CP嘉泰姆
current mode PWM control topology. It operates at a8CP嘉泰姆
fixed frequency of 1.2MHz. At the beginning of each8CP嘉泰姆
clock cycle, the main switch (NMOS) is turned on and8CP嘉泰姆
the inductor current starts to ramp. After the maximum8CP嘉泰姆
duty cycle or the sense current signal equals the error8CP嘉泰姆
amplifier output, the main switch is turned off and the8CP嘉泰姆
synchronous switch (PMOS) is turned on. This control8CP嘉泰姆
topology features cycle-by-cycle current limiting which8CP嘉泰姆
can prevent the main switch from overstress and the8CP嘉泰姆
external inductor from saturating.8CP嘉泰姆
3) Synchronous Rectification 8CP嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 integrates a synchronous rectifier to8CP嘉泰姆
improve efficiency as well as to eliminate the need for8CP嘉泰姆
an external Schottky diode. The synchronous rectifier is8CP嘉泰姆
used to reduce the loss condition contributed by the8CP嘉泰姆
forward voltage of an external Schottky diode. The8CP嘉泰姆
synchronous rectifier is realized by a P-channel MOS8CP嘉泰姆
(PMOS) with gate control circuitry that incorporates8CP嘉泰姆
