Internal Regulator thr嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054   is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellentthr嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containsthr嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600Kthr嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DCthr嘉泰姆
performance.thr嘉泰姆

Error Amplifierthr嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) andthr嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is thenthr嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,thr嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationthr嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. thr嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-Startthr嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootingthr嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)thr嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SSthr嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thanthr嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.thr嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and Hiccupthr嘉泰姆
The JTM2234 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valuethr嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB isthr嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV isthr嘉泰姆
triggered, the JTM2234 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. Thisthr嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averagethr嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect thethr嘉泰姆
regulator. The JTM2234 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition isthr嘉泰姆
removed. thr嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdown thr嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. Thethr嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then thethr嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remainingthr嘉泰姆
