     The CXSU63034 is a highly efficient fix frequencysynchronous step-upL0A嘉泰姆
DC/DC converter. Output voltage of the device is adjustable. PowerL0A嘉泰姆
dissipation during operation is only 40μA typical and drops to less thanL0A嘉泰姆
1μA in shutdown. The 0.85V to 5V input voltage range makes the CXSU63034L0A嘉泰姆
ideally suitable for single cell Li-ion battery, single or dual AA battery voltageL0A嘉泰姆
step-up applications. Automatic PFM Mode operation increases efficiency atL0A嘉泰姆
light loads, further extend battery life. Switching frequency is internally set at 1.2MHz, design for use of small value surface mount inductor, input andL0A嘉泰姆
output capacitors. The internal synchronous switchesenhance efficiency.L0A嘉泰姆
Anti-ringing control circuitry reduces EMI by damping the inductance effectL0A嘉泰姆
in DCM mode. The CXSU63034 is available in SOT23-6 package.L0A嘉泰姆

1)General DescriptionL0A嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is a synchronous step-up DC-DC converter.L0A嘉泰姆
It utilizes internal MOSFET switches to achieve highL0A嘉泰姆
efficiency over full load current range. It operates at aL0A嘉泰姆
fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz, and uses theL0A嘉泰姆
slope compensated peak current mode pulse widthL0A嘉泰姆
modulation (PWM) architecture. The device canL0A嘉泰姆
operate with an input voltage below 1V and theL0A嘉泰姆
minimum start-up voltage is 0.85V.L0A嘉泰姆
2) Current Mode Operation L0A嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is based on a slope compensated peakL0A嘉泰姆
current mode PWM control topology. It operates at aL0A嘉泰姆
fixed frequency of 1.2MHz. At the beginning of eachL0A嘉泰姆
clock cycle, the main switch (NMOS) is turned on andL0A嘉泰姆
the inductor current starts to ramp. After the maximumL0A嘉泰姆
duty cycle or the sense current signal equals the errorL0A嘉泰姆
amplifier output, the main switch is turned off and theL0A嘉泰姆
synchronous switch (PMOS) is turned on. This controlL0A嘉泰姆
topology features cycle-by-cycle current limiting whichL0A嘉泰姆
can prevent the main switch from overstress and theL0A嘉泰姆
external inductor from saturating.L0A嘉泰姆
3) Synchronous Rectification L0A嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 integrates a synchronous rectifier toL0A嘉泰姆
improve efficiency as well as to eliminate the need forL0A嘉泰姆
an external Schottky diode. The synchronous rectifier isL0A嘉泰姆
used to reduce the loss condition contributed by theL0A嘉泰姆
forward voltage of an external Schottky diode. TheL0A嘉泰姆
synchronous rectifier is realized by a P-channel MOSL0A嘉泰姆
(PMOS) with gate control circuitry that incorporatesL0A嘉泰姆
