Internal Regulator rwH嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054   is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellentrwH嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containsrwH嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600KrwH嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DCrwH嘉泰姆
performance.rwH嘉泰姆

Error AmplifierrwH嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) andrwH嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is thenrwH嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,rwH嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationrwH嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. rwH嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-StartrwH嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootingrwH嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)rwH嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SSrwH嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thanrwH嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.rwH嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and HiccuprwH嘉泰姆
The JTM2234 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valuerwH嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB isrwH嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV isrwH嘉泰姆
triggered, the JTM2234 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. ThisrwH嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averagerwH嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect therwH嘉泰姆
regulator. The JTM2234 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition isrwH嘉泰姆
removed. rwH嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdown rwH嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. TherwH嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then therwH嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remainingrwH嘉泰姆
