Internal Regulator eLf嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054   is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellenteLf嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containseLf嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600KeLf嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DCeLf嘉泰姆
performance.eLf嘉泰姆

Error AmplifiereLf嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) andeLf嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is theneLf嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,eLf嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationeLf嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. eLf嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-StarteLf嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootingeLf嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)eLf嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SSeLf嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thaneLf嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.eLf嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and HiccupeLf嘉泰姆
The JTM2234 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valueeLf嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB iseLf嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV iseLf嘉泰姆
triggered, the JTM2234 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. ThiseLf嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averageeLf嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect theeLf嘉泰姆
regulator. The JTM2234 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition iseLf嘉泰姆
removed. eLf嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdown eLf嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. TheeLf嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then theeLf嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remainingeLf嘉泰姆
