The CXLB7389 series are highly integrated single cellarf嘉泰姆

Li-Ion/Polymer battery charger IC designed for handheldarf嘉泰姆

devices. This charger is designed to work with variousarf嘉泰姆

types of AC adapters or a USB port and capable ofarf嘉泰姆

operating with an input voltage as low as 2.65V.arf嘉泰姆

The CXLB7389 operates as a linear charger and charges thearf嘉泰姆

battery in three phases: trickle current, constant current,arf嘉泰姆

and constant voltage. When AC-adapter is applied, anarf嘉泰姆

external resistor sets the magnitude of the charge current,arf嘉泰姆

which may be programmed up to 1.5A with TDFN10arf嘉泰姆

package and a current-limited adapter for lowest powerarf嘉泰姆

dissipation.arf嘉泰姆

The CXLB7389 features thermal regulation loop to controlarf嘉泰姆

charge current to keep safe operation when PCB lacked ofarf嘉泰姆

enough heat-sinking. A programmable charge timerarf嘉泰姆

provides a backup safety for termination. The CXLB7389arf嘉泰姆

automatically re-starts the charge if the battery voltagearf嘉泰姆

falls below an internal threshold and automatically entersarf嘉泰姆

sleep mode when DC supplies are removed. No externalarf嘉泰姆

sense resistor or blocking diode is required for charging. Aarf嘉泰姆

NTC thermistor interface is used for charging the batteryarf嘉泰姆

                       in a safe temperature range.arf嘉泰姆
