Li-Ion/Polymer battery charger IC designed for handheldkA0嘉泰姆

devices. The CXLB7387X integrates internal power FET,kA0嘉泰姆

current sensor, charge status and reverse current protectionkA0嘉泰姆

in a single monolithic devices.When AC-adapter is applied,kA0嘉泰姆

an external resistor sets the magnitude of the chargekA0嘉泰姆

current, which may be programmed up to 1A.kA0嘉泰姆

The CXLB7387X charges the battery in three phases:kA0嘉泰姆

conditioning, constant current, and constant voltage.kA0嘉泰姆

Charge is terminated based on minimum current. AnkA0嘉泰姆

internal charge timer provides a backup safety for chargekA0嘉泰姆

termination. The CXLB7387X automatically re-starts thekA0嘉泰姆

charge if the battery voltage falls below an internalkA0嘉泰姆

threshold. The CXLB7387X also automatically enters sleepkA0嘉泰姆

mode when DC supplies are removed. No external sensekA0嘉泰姆

resistor or blocking diode is required for charging.kA0嘉泰姆
